Support Services Group Dominican Republic is located in diverse Santiago Province in the Dominican Republic, where Support Services Group has had an active presence for over 6 years. We established our own call center in Santiago in 2018 and moved to a new building in July 2019. We have a strong existing leadership team in our Santiago center.

SSG in Santiago

Our center in the Dominican Republic primarily focuses on sales, customer service, and e-commerce in the retail, hospitality, health & wellness, and membership verticals.

Our site is located right in downtown Santiago, in a safe area with proximity to most transportation routes, banks, and service providers. Cibao International Airport serves Santiago de Los Caballeros, the country’s second-largest city, and is the country’s third busiest airport. It has regular flights to and from Miami, Fort Lauderdale, New York, Boston, Newark, and Orlando, and is a quick 14-minute drive from our center.

The Dominican Republic offers a skilled workforce with strong Spanish/English bilingual capabilities. We have 500 agent-ready stations in our site.

The Dominican Republic’s time zone, especially Eastern Standard Time (EST), closely aligns with the working hours of many cities in the United States.
There is a rapidly growing pool of highly skilled professionals in the country, particularly in customer service and BPO, thanks to world-class vocational institutions and universities that produce graduates ready to contribute to the outsourcing industry.
Government support for the outsourcing and nearshoring industries fosters a business-friendly environment in the country. In addition, streamlined regulations and political and economic stability makes the country particularly attractive for foreign investment.
There is widespread English proficiency among BPO and call center professionals.

Life in Santiago

Food and Drink: Dominican Republic cuisine is a fusion of indigenous Taino, Spanish, Cuban, Puerto Rican, Middle Eastern, African, and Chinese influences. La Bandera is the national dish of the country, and is made up of rice, beef or chicken, beans, and green salad and avocado. For restaurants in Santiago, Noah is a great choice for Caribbean food, while Sabrass is a known for its Mediterranean-Caribbean fusion. Saga is a restaurant with a nice view, a bar, and serves international options such as American, French, Italian, and Spanish. Cibao Brewing Co. In Santiago de los Caballeros has a wide selection of Dominican craft beers.

Places to Visit: St. James the Apostle Cathedral is an eclectic-style temple built between 1868 and 1894, and is a must-visit in Santiago de los Caballeros. Other major tourist attractions include El Monumento de Santiago, the highest building in the city, and the Centro Leon Museum and Cultural Center, a non-profit Dominican heritage and art museum.

Where to Stay: Hodelpa Centro Plaza is located at the heart of Santiago de los Caballeros, and is surrounded by parks, churches, museums, and the business district. Other hotel options include the Gran Almirante, a luxury hotel, and the Garden Court, which is only 5 minutes from downtown.
